The lectures take a Jungian look at the Germanic cosmology, the main gods and the end of time. The neglected Germanic female and male archetypes will be addressed, as well as the consequences of cultural repression and mythological illiteracy. The concept of cultural ecology will be developed, and I will show how Odin's self-sacrifice on the world tree designates him to become the wounded healer par excellence and an essential god for our times.
