Judith Savage

Judith A Savage, completed her MSW in 1972. From 1972-1979 she was a Family therapist for the Hennepin County Domestic Relations Division where she actively worked developing family mediation and educational programs regarding divorce. She was a founding member of the Consortium for Battered Women which opened the first women’s shelter in Minnesota. In 1979 she moved to Zurich with her husband to train at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, returning to the US in 1983. She graduated as a Jungian Analyst from the IRSJA in 1987. As an active IRSJA member she was a regular member of the exam committee, an elected member of the Training committee, and was elected twice to the IRSJA Executive Committee, first as its Executive Secretary and later as Vice President.

Judith is a Training Analyst and also an approved licensing supervisor for the Minnesota State Board of Social Work.

She lectures internationally at Jungian training seminars and associations and was a founding member, coordinator, and core faculty member of the Minnesota Seminar in Jungian Studies. Currently, she is on the faculty of the Prairie Care Psychiatric Hospital Mentorship Program where she teaches in their psychoanalytic-psychotherapy certificate program.

She is currently a member of the Association of Graduate Jungian Analysts Zurich and was recently accepted as an individual participant at ISAP. She is in in private practice (Psychoanalytic Consultants) with her husband, John Desteian, in St Paul, Minnesota, USA.

Ausbildung

Judith A Savage, MSW received a B.A. (Cum Laude) from the University of Minnesota in 1970 in Cultural Anthropology and Social Work. She completed her MSW in 1972. She began training at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich in 1980, later transferring to the Inter-regional Society of Jungian Analyst and graduating in 1987.
