Training/Supervising Analyst
Penelope Yungblut
A graduate of Harvard University, the Guild for Spiritual Guidance, and the C. G. Jung Institute, Zurich, Penelope Yungblut is a spiritual guide and Jungian analyst with a private practice in Washington, DC and Round Hill, Virginia in the USA. She is the director of the non-profit Touchstone, Inc. which seeks to serve those who aspire to respond to what lies deepest within, find purpose and meaning, and become more authentic and alive.
A Training and Supervising Analyst, Penelope comes to Zurich twice a year to offer lectures, experiential seminars, and exams to students in training at the International School of Analytical Psychology, Zurich. Her emphasis is on the journey to the Self, including the implications of early childhood development; healing emotional wounds; working with unconscious material; finding creative expression; moving from fear to compassion; discovering the transformative potential of active imagination; deepening one’s sense of agency and purpose; and honoring the call of that which lies deepest within. She aspires to integrate recent ideas from other schools of psychoanalysis with Jungian understanding.
Penelope is currently writing a book entitled A Self of One’s Own in which she is weaving together her experience as an analyst and ideas she has presented at ISAP.
